This role is responsible for the monitoring of multiple transport, data, voice, wireless and environmental systems and reacting to alarms and internal and external calls. The associate will work closely with teammates on various activities including determining resources necessary to perform the work and assigning tasks to appropriate support. Employees use existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems in settlements areas of specialization.Monitors, reports and resolves Data Network issues for world wide data network. . Monitors, reports and resolves problems for transport network. . Identifies failing components and resolves remotely. . Monitors and responds to all applicable alarms and acts as a central communications center for all telecom issues. . Coordinates field service technicians to respond to and restore services.Requirements .CCNA or CCNP - Required Hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise networking products. - Required Associates degree or higher or experience is required. Requires rotating (24/7) shift coverage is required Strong customer service skills.Monitoring various tools (BMC Event Manager, Solarwinds) for network alarms. Experience with Remedy ticketing system a plus.Understanding of a broad variety of telecommunications technologies to include:

  • Avaya systems
  • fiber optic transport
  • data network
  • microwave networks
  • Trunking radio systems
  • paging systems
Aid in gathering of business, functional, and technical requirements. Investigate and understand the current network environment.Research, evaluate, and select component and service vendors.Define metrics to evaluate network design performance.Determine specific components and services to procure for successful implementation.Provide aid in build and testing, component and assembly.Develop Technical Procedures and Policies documentation.Support investigating and understanding the current network environment.Assist in evaluating gaps in environment and creation of network designs to meet requirements.Define and execute testing plans, component and assembly.Create configurations for components based on designs.Develop Installation and Configuration Guides documentation.Issue purchase orders for materials and services, as appropriate.1-3 years of experience
