The qualified Senior Network Engineer will support a very dynamic program in a world-class operations facility and must have a broad range of experience supporting mission critical network and computer systems.Position is Contingent on Contract AwardRequired Skills:Demonstrable real-world experience in network configuration and management of critical network environmentsHas a clear understanding of the OSI modelAbility to identify and correct network issues in a complex network environmentExperience with IPSec, multilayer switching, VLANs, and Virtual environments (ESXi)Knowledgeable in Static/Dynamic IP environments, LAN/WAN interfaces, Routed and routing protocols, subnetting, remote management and monitoring using SNMPv3 and SSH in both large and small-scale networksExperience in network devices such as Cisco ASAs, Routers, Switches, Phones, Video teleconferencing (VTCs), Unified Communications ServersExperience with Cisco IOS, NX OS, VMwareRequired Knowledge, and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other technically related field and 10 years of hands-on experienceThis position requires minimum of (5) years of experience in a networking environmentKnowledgeable in RHEL/CentOS Linux operating systemsUnderstanding of Power Distribution Units (PDU’s), serial servers, server hardware, and other data center type equipmentHands on experience with Physical rack installations, troubleshooting, and system integrationDesire to obtain a CCNA certification or higherClearance Requirement:An active Top Secret security clearance is required with the eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI. Relocation assistance is not available.Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of projectmanagement. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.Typically requires:A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experienceEngineering/Other Technical Positions:Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.Requires advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
