Network Engineer - hybridLocation: North or South Carolina Candidate: work on W2 A client of Sharp Decisions Inc. is looking to bring on a Network Engineer to be based in Charlotte, NC.

• Network problem detection, analysis and resolution for site environment:
• Routed/switched networks with WAN connections
• Wireless network infrastructure
• Physical wiring installation and troubleshooting
• Coordinate wiring contractors to install and demo out fiber and copper wiring and network closet wiring required for plant projects and needs Analyze and enhance network monitoring to provide timely and appropriate alerts based on accurate thresholds Work with the group to plan, design and implement network additions and modifications in the plants
• Proactively monitor wired and wireless infrastructure using monitoring tools (Cisco Prime, Fluke, SolarWinds etc.).
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
• Support hardware adds / moves / changes, cabling changes / repairs, replacing network equipment, network reorgs, etc.
• Work overtime, adjusted shifts and weekends as required, including on call support during off-hours.
• Knowledge, skills, abilities, traits, certifications, years of experience, to successfully perform job function

• 4+ years Cisco enterprise networking experience, including network design and optimization responsibilities 2+ years experience with Cisco Wireless Networking, including Cisco Mesh, LWAPP, Autonomous, and WCS controller. 2+ years experience installing and terminating Fiber & Copper cabling. 2+ years Windows XP/Server operating system experience with OS level troubleshooting of security, system, network, and application interaction functions.
• Excellent project management, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and status reporting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good problem analysis skills. Strong commitment to customer support.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb stair & ladders.
• Must be flexible and accept any service related tasks given and perform well to completion. MS Office Products
