Position Summary:

The Floor Care Technician is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and presentable warehouse floors by operating and maintaining floor scrubbers, buffers, and related equipment. This role ensures compliance with facility sanitation standards and supports a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

· Operate floor scrubbers, buffers, and other cleaning equipment to maintain warehouse floors.

· Sweep, mop, and clean designated work areas as needed.

· Inspect and maintain cleaning equipment, report malfunctions or maintenance needs.

· Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

· Handle cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with OSHA and company guidelines.

· Dispose of waste and debris properly.

· Support warehouse sanitation and housekeeping standards.

· Perform additional cleaning or maintenance duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, or floor care work is a plus.

· Ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods.

· Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends, as required.

Skills:

· Knowledge of floor cleaning equipment and basic maintenance.

· Understanding of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.

· Good time management and ability to work independently.

· Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Work Environment:

· Warehouse/distribution center setting.

· Exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment.

· Requires use of PPE such as gloves, safety shoes, and protective eyewear.
