Duties:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Document patient information in electronic medical records systems
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients with special needs, including behavioral health patients
- Knowledge of airway management techniques and equipment
- Experience working with children is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) and its proper use
