This position is eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment to Mission Health. Sign-on bonus will be paid out in your first paycheck!

Only new hires eligible for sign-on bonus; prior employees have to be separated from Mission for at least 1 year to be re-eligible for sign-on.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Stroke Program Manager will oversee the administrative and clinical operations of the Mission Health System Stroke Program, including supervision of personnel within the program. The manager has primary responsibility for maintaining all stroke related certification/accreditations with the assistance of the stroke program staff. The coordination activities of the Stroke Program including, but not limited to: annual review of evidence-based clinical guidelines, policy/procedure development and maintenance, continuing education program oversight for professional and community education, performance improvement process facilitation, and accountability for completeness and accuracy of publicly reported data for certification and accreditation. The Stroke Program manager will work with the Stroke Program Medical Director to maintain Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center Certification.

What qualifications you will need:

Required Education:BSN or equivalent (ADN with MSN, BA with MSN)

Preferred Education:Master’s Degree in Nursing. National certification as SCRN or CNRN

Required License:

  • Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON.
  • National Certification in area of specialty within one year of accepting the role. Certification may be in leadership or area of clinical practice. Those actively pursuing degree must obtain national certification within 1 year of graduation.
  • BLS Healthcare Provider

Required Experience:A minimum of five years of recent nursing experience; 2 years in relevant clinical hospital experience with demonstrated leadership skills
