Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) Engineer to join our team. The NVH Engineer will be responsible for analyzing and designing solutions to reduce or eliminate noise and vibration in our products. This position requires extensive knowledge of acoustics, vibration, and structural dynamics, as well as experience with computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools and test methods.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for reducing noise and vibration in our products.
  • Conduct numerical simulations using CAE tools to analyze the structural and dynamic behavior of our products.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate the performance of our products and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate NVH requirements into product design and development processes.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in NVH engineering.
  • Support the design of NVH equipment and systems for the Axle Development Team and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Support Engineering by providing NVH data pertaining to design changes/DVP&R/PPAP/SSTS requirements.
  • Establish noise acceptance criteria for production AWD products through vehicle testing & correlation.
  • Support quality by providing NVH data pertaining to supplier change requests/PPAP submissions/Root Cause Analysis of customer complaints/warranty returns.
  • Support company commercial team by providing NVH data for future business pertaining to customer statement of requirements and denoting exceptions to requirements if necessary.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in NVH engineering
  • Experience with CAE tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar
  • Familiarity with testing methods and equipment for measuring noise and vibration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in automotive or aerospace industries
  • Experience with sound quality engineering
  • Experience with active noise control or vibration control systems
