Description:

Must haves:Microsoft Azure Senior Desktop Systems Engineer accountable for Office 365 endpoint client design and build.The resource is responsible for the Office Professional Plus client design, build process, packaging methodology, deployment and update mechanisms.The role requires extensive technical capabilities as well as the ability to work with a team of senior technical professionals in a high paced environment.

Responsibilities:Responsible for engineering the Office 365 Professional Plus product suite and all components necessary to sustain long term implementationDevelop technical documentation for application packagingFocus on both on premise and cloud implementation solutionsPartner with internal teams to develop a sustainable patching methodologyDevelop technical documentation and build strategy for managing ‘ring’ release processes for Office Professional Plus clientEnsure designs adhere to all compliance and security requirementsDevelop and implement a strategy to accommodate for macros, add-ins, etc.Take a leadership role in shaping service design directionPartner and mentor with other engineers and consultants to share knowledge and experienceWork with service and product managers to identify / document service requirements

Required Skills:10+ years relevant industry experience; 5+ years in a financial, health or insurance industry5+ years of extensive experience and technical knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 client on premise and cloud technologiesExperience implementing services for large enterprisesExperience implement ‘Click to Run’ capabilities across Office 365 Professional Plus suiteExtensive knowledge and applied experience with:Office 365 Professional PlusWindows OS environment (Windows 7 and Windows 10)Flexera Admin StudioMicrosoft System Center Configuration ManagerVMware Hosted Virtual Desktop environmentsDetail oriented and quality focusedExceptional communication and personal skills, both written, verbal and while presenting to groupsSolid understanding of the commercial IT market for hardware and softwareStrong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issuesSelf-managed and motivated individual with strong leadership skillsAbility to grasp new concepts and quickly adapt to a changing environmentInteracts well with diverse groups within function and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators

Desired Skills:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and/or extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in a Technology related fieldITIL CertifiedProject management experience and familiarity with both agile and waterfall processes
