We have an opening for Big Data DeveloperLocation - Charlotte, NCFull time permanent positionRequired Skills:•8 + years’ experience in software development•Software engineering, application design and data architecture experience•Experience in big data platform development working with technologies such Hadoop, Hive, Spark, HBase, Impala, Kafka•Proven track record of execution and delivery•Experience in dealing with multi-level organizations•Demonstration of leadership qualities and ability to work in a group environment•Specialized knowledge of Big Data infrastructure and analytics •Proven experience with Python, Apache Spark, Hadoop, SQL•Deep understanding of big data, distributed parallel processing and High-Performance Computing (HPC)•Understanding of network technologies (e.g., SSL, load balancing)•Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills•Self-starter that is curious•Strong strategic and business centric mindset with ability to utilize sound business judgement and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes•Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex subject matter to non-technical audiences•Highly organized and can lead by example•Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision•Comfortable in a matrix organization, collaborating with developers and technical business partners (Model developers/quants)Desired Skills:•Prior knowledge of Risk calculation and different models•AI/ML certification•Experience working with quant•4-year degree in computer science
