Immediate requirement JOB TITLE: OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN LOCATION: DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA ONSITE PERMANENT Full time Job Job Scope: The Operations Technician will have the responsibility to within a cleanroom to operate, maintain and troubleshoot research fabrication equipment that handles D&O Display HW Liquid Crystal Polymer products and Maintain availability of tools and materials for fabrication, throughput of substrates per week, increase the throughput of products fabricated on tools. The scope includes handling glass and flexible substrates with proper safety procedures in place Responsibilities and Skill sets:

  • Hands-on and creative individual with willingness to work independently in the field of optical and lab metrology services, research, and pilot scale equipment operation in cleanroom environments
  • Knowledge and experience with thin film coating equipment and process, preferably with roll to roll and/or slot die coating process
  • Hands-on work experience on thin film coating equipment, preferably with roll to roll and/or slot die coating
  • Hands-on work experience to operate, maintain and troubleshoot thin film coating tools according to Standard Operating Procedures to maintain equipment up time and improve productivity
  • Experience in optical and lab metrology services, research, and pilot scale equipment operation in cleanroom environments
  • Maintain availability of tools and materials for fabrication, throughput of substrates per week, increase the throughput of products fabricated on tools, and provide coverage for existing technicians as they cross-train
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure product being made meets specifications and documenting operating conditions and participate in continuous improvement efforts and maintain manufacturing process and equipment standards
  • Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures ("SOPs") used to govern completion of the services to maintain equipment up time
  • Experience in vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic, industrial automation, controls, and system integration
  • Practical knowledge of Electro-Mechanical Components and manufacturing processes (e.g. machining, welding, soldering), safety interlocks and supporting lab safety and quality audits
  • Problem identification and hands-on troubleshooting of a wide range of hardware problems.
  • Provide training and Knowledge sharing to new Team members
  • Immaculate documentation of process steps, procedures, components, parts, consumable items and reporting at regular intervals
  • Knowledge on statistical methods and design of experiments, Reliability data analysis (FMECA, RBD, FTA, MTBF Calculation, Weibull Distribution) is a plus.
  • Ability to independently prioritize tasks and keep local and global stakeholders informed on a regular
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and keep stakeholders in Engineering/Facilities/Safety informed
  • Provide training and Knowledge sharing to new Team members
