Description:General Job Requirements:• Perform a wide variety of payroll processing activities to ensure the accuracy of payroll for all employees• Have a thorough understanding of the entire payroll cycle• Uses strong organizational skills to ensure all payroll inquires from employees are resolved in a timely manner• Support to ensure payroll audits and processing are done accurately in accordance with payroll processing checklist• Work with internal and external partners to resolve payroll request when applicable• Handle sensitive information with complete confidentiality Position Specific Job Requirements: • Performs assigned audits per payroll processing checklist• Prepare and calculate earnings and deductions for manual check processing• Analyze and perform accurate, complex computations of timecard adjustments• Accurate data entry of payroll in payroll system• Understand federal and state labor law requirement for employees’ final pay processes• Maintains a high degree of accuracy with minimal errors by proactively implementing measures to validate work• Applies effective problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve matters relating to the employee paycheck• Acquires and retains working knowledge of all payroll systems’ functionality to independently research and resolve payroll issues.• Acquires and retains working knowledge of Workday to efficiently and accurately retrieve data to produce reports for ad-hoc request and perform audit task• Demonstrate active listening skills to accurately interpret employee or management inquires• Utilize technology such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook efficiently• Responds and resolve employees’ email inquiries and service tickets in a timely manner and according to established timeframe standards• Provides superior customer service by maintaining positive, friendly, professional and patient attitude always• Maintains confidentiality of all payroll data• Participates in payroll department activities as assigned• Research payroll issues independently, demonstrating high analytical ability, knowledge of best practices• Excellent attention to details and able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment Knowledge, Experience, Competencies:• Strong working knowledge of payroll wage and hour laws• Good understanding of federal and state payroll tax and labor law• Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills• Ability to work independently and great attention to details• Five plus years’ payroll experience in a large public company• Proficient in MS application such as pivot tables, vlookup• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment• Team player, positive attitude and willingness to support payroll department’s goals and visionSpecific Education Experience Requirements:• College Education or equivalent• Experience with ADP Payroll systems such as PayForce, EZ Labor is desirable• Experience using Workday HCM
