Labcorp is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to execute all aspects of our payroll functions. This role involves handling payroll entries, processing weekly payrolls, managing on-demand check requests, and conducting audits to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll Weekly Runs:

Process weekly payrolls accurately and in a timely manner.

Handle payroll entries and adjustments, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company policies.

Process on-demand check requests as needed.

Data Processing:

Process EIB’s, ensuring proper balancing.

Review and enter pay items accurately into the payroll system.

Reporting and Auditing:

Run and analyze payroll reports to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

Conduct regular audits of payroll data to verify accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner.

HR Central Tasks:

Respond to inquiries and tasks related to HR Central, providing support and resolving issues as needed.

Maintain and update payroll-related documentation and records.

Compliance and Record Keeping:

Ensure payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll information.

REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION

2-3+ years of proven payroll experience preferred

Great Excel skills

Attention to detail

Systems experience, preferably Workday & ADP SmartCompliance

Good time management and prioritization skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Payroll or Accounting Qualification is preferred but not required

Degree is preferred but not required

Due to the nature of this position, candidates must reside on Eastern or Central timezones

Candidates close to Burlington, NC office preferred
