About the Position: Department of the Army Police Officer (Military Ocean Terminal) with the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), 596th US Army Transportation Surface Brigade Police/Security Division, Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point located in Southport, North Carolina. Responsibilities Conduct waterside security patrols of U.S. Military, non-military, and foreign ships. Perform protection duties to deter unauthorized access to installation. Exercise search and arrest authority to apprehend suspects. Perform required lifesaving first aid in the event of an emergency. Respond to and investigate emergency calls. Protection of life and property on the installation. Maintain qualifications with assigned weapons. Operate a firearm in the performance of duty in accordance with proper procedures. Conduct traffic Law Enforcement patrol using specialized equipment. Establish an incident perimeter to defeat attackers as a member of the tactical team.
