Position Description:The Solutions Engineer works with Business Development to research and understand potential customers. The Solutions Engineer will consult directly with the potential customers to promote TransmetriQ products using a consultative approach. This includes running product demos, articulating benefits of our data solutions, and acting as a subject matter expert for our technology solutions. At times, a Solutions Engineer will work with our implementation and solutions team to deliver key post-sales solutions including custom software solutions or reports.

Essential Functions
  • Understand and communicate benefits of TransmetriQ products to prospects and customers
  • Work directly with Business Development and Product Management to define scope, resource requirements, and project schedules for engagements with prospects and existing customers
  • Build and deliver customized product demos to prospects
  • Build and maintain custom solutions including Python jobs, Tableau reports, and other data visualization tools as necessary
  • Act as a voice of prospects and existing customers by delivering ideas and recommendations to product management based on customer feedback

Requirements:
  • Experience consulting with customers directly, preferably in pre-sales or sales implementation of software services.
  • Experience in rail operations or supply chain preferred but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical experience including Python, SAS, or Tableau strongly preferred
  • Proven track record managing complex relationships/large accounts
