Description This role is HYBRID in one of these location, Charlotte, NC / Columbus, OH / Minneapolis, MN / Detroit, MI / Chicago, IL / Pittsburgh, PA / Dallas, TX We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Risk Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management and a solid understanding of technology and engineering principles. As a Risk Engineer, you will assess and mitigate risks associated with our projects and operations, ensuring that our technological implementations are secure, efficient, and compliant.Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in technology systems and engineering projects.
Analyze risk data to develop risk profiles and prioritize risks based on their potential impact on the organization.
Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies and action plans to minimize identified risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management practices in project designs and operations.
Evaluate and implement technology solutions that enhance risk management processes.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the adoption of best practices in risk management.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to risk management.
Develop and maintain documentation, including risk registers, reports, and policy guidelines.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate staff on risk management practices and the importance of technology in mitigating risks.
Foster a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk management across the organization.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management strategies and processes.
Propose improvements based on lessons learned and changing business environments.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology.
10 years of experience in risk management, engineering, or a technology-related role.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and tools.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards .
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Professional certifications in risk management (e.g., Certified Risk Management Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are a plus.
