About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Principal Independent Testing Officer. This position will report directly to the Head of IT&V Program.IT&V sits in Corporate Risk and the Principal Independent Testing Officer will need to be multifaceted in execution for all aspects of IT&V program holistically. Primarily focusing on the largest regulatory deliverables, collecting artifacts and ensuring cross program support. This individual will demonstrate strong executive presence. Ultimately providing primary support to the Head of IT&V Program for all key deliverables with cross program impact.In this role, you will:

Strategically lead peers and leaders to ensure effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies

Develop and deliver executive messaging specific to potential corrective actions, reporting, escalation, and resolution

Ensure appropriate and timely escalation of any potential delays or risk requiring executive awareness with proposed resolution

Develop and implement efficiencies with focus on impact to the broader Independent Testing and Validation organization

Develop and lead implementation of complex initiatives with high risk, generally spanning multiple business lines

Provide functional expertise and thought leadership requiring executive awareness for the most complex areas across the Independent Testing and Validation organization

Strategically lead and execute complex projects or virtual initiatives

Serve as an expert advisor by representing the business through interactions with internal business and other business units, audit, legal, industry partners, and regulatory agencies

Prepare and present executive level presentations

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of Independent Testing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Expert-level knowledge of industry standards and best practices around monitoring, testing, assurance and risk management processes.

Deep understanding of the ever-evolving governance and regulatory environments.

Organizational courage and willingness to make tough, informed decisions and thoughtfully share independent perspectives.

Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with an ability to translate ambiguous ideas/issues into well-defined plans/solutions with a track-record for delivering results.

Effective communicator, both orally and in writing, able to ask well-crafted questions and present ideas in a clear and compelling manner, good listener who engenders creative thinking and teamwork.

An ability to develop and articulate sound proposals to key stakeholders, and an ability to influence and drive timely decision making.

Proven ability to cultivate relationships and collaborate with multiple stakeholders and constituencies, including business leaders, legal, audit and multiple U.S. and non-U.S. regulators.

Proven experience establishing a large-scale vision, developing the strategy to support the vision, gaining consensus across key functional leadership areas through effective communication and successful delivery against goals and objectives.

Experience driving large-scale organizational change.

Ethical integrity and proven ability to serve as a role model by reinforcing and demonstrating to your employees the core values and behavioral expectations contained in Wells Fargo's Vision, Values & Goals.

Advanced Degree preferred (Masters, MBA, or JD).

Experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk and Testing.

Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
