This individual is responsible for leading plant readiness supporting New Product Introductions (NPI), Continuous Improvement (CI), documenting and developing product standardization/changes and major new program implementation.Organizational RelationshipThis position reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Product DevelopmentAccountabilitiesManages overall CI goal tracking/execution and develops CI opportunities working with direct reports and other key functional areas (Sourcing, Operations, etc.)Leadership of MLLC Product Engineering Services department technical outputs.  These include product drawings, change management documentation, product launch schedules, and product engineering.Manage key product specification changes to ensure they are formally approved and documented accordinglyLead documentation standardization and repository of documentationAssist Operations in determining manufacturing processes including assembly methods, construction techniques, material cost estimates, labor estimates, tooling and equipment for new products, custom product requests and product changes.Identify, initiate, and execute value engineering projects through the product engineering network.Maintains effective project tracking, meeting minutes, and action items.Manages, grow, and develop direct reports.Develop and maintain team member cross training activities.Ability to travel both domestic and international; estimated travel for position is 20-25%.Provide support to Quality, Operations and Customer Service for product related questionsHelp to establish organizational culture of continuous improvement, utilizing daily management, standard work, and A3 ThinkingDevelop meaningful KPIConsistently demonstrate the 6 For Success: Be Trustworthy, Commit to your team, Listen to understand, Serve your customer, Prepare and Plan, and Deliver the resultPerform other duties as may be assigned at management’s discretion.Culture:Demonstrates trust in the process of lean methodologies and tools.
