Individuals with high emotional intelligence, humility and openness to discovery will thrive in the teams we are building.Join us!Job Summary:Product Service Engineer working within Electrification and Advanced Power systems division (E+APSD) reporting into the Services and Commercial Development team. They will be focusing on product support execution for new product development, market introduction, product health and product improvement. This role will provide direct product support for a major product line within the E&APSD offerings to ensure customer satisfaction and product quality objectives are being delivered.Job Purpose:The Product Service Engineer will be accountable to provide product quality lifecycle support of an Advanced Power Products offering and any associated service offerings. The incumbent will be responsible for on-going product health management of the new offerings and continuous improvement projects over the lifecycle of the product to ensure customer satisfaction and product quality targets are met. This position will also assist in NPI product support plan development, implementation, and communication.Job Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Participate in monitoring overall product health of new product offerings including quality and performance metrics.

Support CPI/DSN investigations working with dealers and engineering to help determine root cause of the problem and collect any information needed to support issues investigation.

Develop and author service literature, technical bulletins, service magazines, and service letters, in support of issue resolution projects.

Manage product rework programs which include parts procurement and developing rework instructions.

Provide SME support of E&APSD product to our internal partners and dealerships.

Provides input to NPI readiness plans and strategies for new electrification and advanced power offerings.

Leads and/or assists in development of new product support processes during product or services launch.

Conduct dealer and customer visits to provide support for new product introduction or assist with technical issues.

Basic Requirements:

2+ years of service engineering related experience and/or field experience.

High level of product knowledge, good mechanical aptitude, and analytical ability.

Expert communicator, proficient at building collaborative partnerships and working across internal and external organizational boundaries. Proven record of stakeholder management.

Track record of creative problem-solving, continuous improvement and change management.

Technical competent, able to understand and communicate challenging engineering concepts.

This position is located in Mossville, IL, Peoria, IL Lafayette, IN, OR Clayton, NC but alternative work locations near a Caterpillar facility may be considered.

This position is a hybrid role (3 days on-site/2 days off-site), providing flexibility and freedom to work from a location away from the office, while also enabling the opportunity to collaborate in person as needed.
