At Bank of America, the Production Operations Specialist acts as a first point of contact for users as it relates to requests or a failure of a service; as well as being responsible for maintaining the stability for a portfolio of applications. It is a technical role that works closely with users and other tech teams to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues. The role may perform initial investigation, takes direct action to mitigate impact whenever possible through established routines, participates in triages, and respond to requests from users. This role may be responsible for providing end to end management of application access services. The role follows well-defined SOP and may propose changes to monitoring, alerting and configuration to improve the service levels and works closely with respective subject matter experts.

Required Skills
  • Minimum of 4-7 years' experience in production support in L2/L3 teams, with strong incident management, triaging experience, infrastructure knowledge.
  • Fundamental knowledge of Unix/Linux commands, Apache/Tomcat AND/OR Windows PowerShell commands, IIS Web servers 7.5/8.0.
  • Strong SME in one or more of DevOps toolset - JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, Ansible (including Tower), Artifactory, XLR
  • Strong in Unix/Linux commands and Shell Scripting
  • Strong Analytical mindset in debugging issues and root cause analysis
  • Should be able to see automation opportunities and implement them
  • Should have fundamental user level knowledge on any of the following - Splunk, App Dynamics, Remedy
  • Ability to manage multiple incidents across the platforms meet deadlines/SLAs
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and strong task management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills as well as an ability to be diplomatic in dealings with a variety of areas across the company.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and independently.
  • Able to maintain a high degree of customer / client / sponsor satisfaction while also maintaining necessary project controls. Experience in the use, administration and integration of SDLC applications on both Linux and Windows platforms, such as test applications, various ticketing systems, requirements management systems, and software development applications.
  • Ability to appropriately implement policies and procedures.
  • Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed including different shift timings, weekends and evenings.
  • Debugging skills/Reporting skillset, including MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)

Desired Skills
  • Capacity Planning concepts, HTML as it relates to SAS reports
  • SDLC or BPM tools
  • L3 support experience o Linux Shell Scripting or Windows Powershell Scripting
  • Any PG, UG Certifications
