POSITION SUMMARY: Perform scheduling and planning program management for all three locations. Monitor order levels and schedule plants to meet full capacity on a weekly basis. Provide order status to internal and external customers with regards to production, expected ship dates, and fabric availability. Provide rate of sales analysis for management to ensure appropriate levels of fabric inventory and kits are available at all times. Represent Sutter Street manufacturing on weekly calls with the brands. Assist with other tasks as needed. Two to three direct reports.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as liaison between Customer Service, the Brands, and Manufacturing.
  • Work closely with administrative staff to ensure all Bills of Materials and Routes are ready on time and entered in AX for scheduling purposes.
  • Set, publish, and monitor schedules for all locations.
  • Provide status and projected ship date to the brands as well as internal customer service.

You will manage the generation and execution of manufacturing plans from the development of the Master Schedule through packing of the units in Assembly. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Purchasing and IT to drive improvements to materials and inventory management programs. Lead the search and implement breakthrough strategies that improve utilization by increasing throughput, inventory turns and reduction of cycle time. Continuously improve systems, methods, procedures, people and computer systems .

What Do You Need?

  • 5+ years of experience in production planning, inventory management or related area, Required
  • 2+ years Supervisory/Management experience , Required
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, must be experienced in Excel
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems – AX, D365
  • Advance planning and scheduling systems and methodology
  • Bachelor Degree in Manufacturing Supply Chain Management or related field or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a manufacturing plan for operations using a Supply Chain Management scheduling system
  • Review and make recommendations for approving the Master Schedule for sequence of models in assembly by reviewing machining, labor and material constraints
  • Maintain strong attention to material utilization, process flow, cycle time and inventory management
  • Assist in the development of the shop floor production strategy.
  • Review the throughput capacity requirements planning report weekly with manufacturing management looking for potential long-term constraints associated with manufacturing and assembly work centers.
  • Work closely with Managers in other facilities to make recommendations and implement necessary changes to manufacturing systems to improve flow of materials to achieve standardization of planning systems throughout the organization.
  • Manage and oversee the component and assembled component work in process and finished inventories using appropriate systems and support; coordinate physical inventories when required.
  • Daily review of capacity planning tools with fabrication and assembly management identifying short-term problems at selected work centers
