Timmons Group is seeking a full time Civil Project Engineer II/III in our Commercial and Residential Land Development Group located in our Raleigh, NC office location.  Project Engineer II/IIIs are Civil Engineers with 2 to 10 years’ experience.  The qualified individual will perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects. Candidates should have experience with site civil design, permitting, and applicable software applications including AutoCAD, and Civil 3D. Projects will include a variety of land development site designs. In addition to strong technical experience, other responsibilities will include research, coordination, task management and team collaboration on design.Essential duties and responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling and Civil 3D technologyComplete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problemsPrepare specifications materials through the use of research and manufacturing catalogs to specify materials, installation, inspection and payment of items specific to a projectWork to complete design details and plan setsPerform research and writes objective summary reports which are used in the completion of the project work or inspectionAssist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimatesComplete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staffCommunicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staffSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related degreeIdeal candidates would have two to ten years of experience in civil engineering, EIT preferredWorking knowledge AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
