QA Test Engineer

QA Test EngineerMetro Systems is seeking a QA Test Engineer to support a top financial client of ours. This client is a leader in the web and mobile spaces. This position can sit in Detroit, MI or Charlotte, NC.Individuals working in the Test Engineer role must be very hands-on and willing to perform test case creation, test plan creation and actual automated and manual test execution. Good time management skills and the ability to effectively work on multiple projects/applications concurrently are required. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Work with product teams to design test strategies with automation as the core component to transform QA to enable agile and continuous testing• Collaborate with Engineers to implement and execute a product test strategy• Work with the team to identify and build automated tests into the software development and delivery pipeline (CI/CD) leveraging common frameworks• Work across teams to understand enterprise quality requirements and ensure adoption of core processes and standards• Drive test quality through metrics and KPIs• Evaluate, recommend, and implement standards, tools, processes, and test design techniques to enable teams to deliver quality in an autonomous yet enterprise aligned manner REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS• Minimum experience of 7 years and proficient in automation, manual and performance testing• Experience designing and developing automation test frameworks and tools in Java, Python, or C#/C, or equivalent experience• Experience with standard QA tools and practices, such as functional API testing, integration testing, and UI functionality and usability testing, with a passion for automation• Working knowledge of frameworks and tools like Junit/TestNG (Java), SoapUI Pro, Selenium RC/WebDriver, UFT, Tricentis Tosca• Knowledge of QA methodology and tools• Ability to adapt to new challenges and overcome hurdles• Experience integrating testing into a CI/CD pipeline• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills• Strong written and oral communication skills• Ability to work independently to define, manage, and complete activities• Hands-on experience with Load Runner Cloud and Jmeter DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is a plus• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment• Experience with JIRA and Confluence• Experience working with IaC is a plus• Experience working with AWS is a plus MSI is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
