Description: Testing and recording of all raw materials, ensuring that all quality and specification requirements are met. Will be trained on Moving Die Rheometer (MDR) and Rubber Process Analyzer (RPA) to discover the optimal cure time of rubber and characterization of all compounds before, during, and after vulcanization Utilizes laboratory equipment, test incoming raw materials (tissues, compounds, solvents, balance pads) ensuring the material falls within specification standards as set by Dunlop, and certify and log that the testing was completed. Ensure all materials are within specified expiration dates and test as needed for extensions to applicable materials. Demonstrates sound judgment, particularly concerning the release/restriction of materials Properly label/tag all approved or rejected materials Liaise with production, suppliers and third party testing facilities to ensure all requirements are met, and record all results and findings. Issue Corrective Actions to suppliers in cases of materials not meeting specifications. Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment including recalibration of equipment Cut and prepare tire adhesion samples Cut and measure tire sections for product conformance vs design and recording results/findings Develop and maintain supplier score cards for quality and deliverySkills:Quality control, Quality assurance, Laboratory, Inspection, process control, labelling, document review, validationAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Bachelors in Chemistry not required but would be a plusAssociates Degree not required but would be a plus1-3 years of prior experience working in a production lab, ideally chemical manufacturing Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with work objectives with limited supervision. Ability to lift and handle heavy objects safely, up to 50 pounds Proven experience in Quality Control Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Ability to be organized and pay high attention to detail.
