Piper Companies is seeking a

100% Remote Python Developer to join a global insurance company. The

Python Developer will join a company that offers their clients superior coverage and service. The

Python Engineer will be developing new applications and upgrading existing systems. The Python Developer will sit

remotely but work EST hours.

Responsibilities of the Python Developer include:
  • Coordinates with software architects and Software engineers to ensure the engineering realization is in accordance with Enterprise Architecture principles and software development best practices
  • Maintains a working knowledge of new technology and software engineering standards, practices and tools.
  • Works with the Agile Program Manager (APM), Digital Product Manager (DPM), and Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to accurately capture stakeholder requests and system specifications and translate them into engineering artifacts, which typically include design specifications, source code, test scripts and test results
  • Develops, implements, and maintains software solutions that enable Property business operations to realize company goals & objectives

Qualifications for the Python Developer include:
  • 3+ years of web development experience using Python/Django
  • Experience with SQL and Postgres
  • Underwriting / Catastrophe Modeling experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology Services, or equivalent

Compensation for the Python Developer includes:

  • Salary Range: $125,000-$150,000 based on experience, with 10% bonus
