Description:This Senior Business Analyst reports to the Director of Systems of Engagement and will be assigned to Salesforce and third-party tools. Responsible for cross-enterprise services and serve as a liaison between the university community and the ITS organization to provide technical and functional solutions to meet user needs.We strongly believe in work-life balance and keeping time for things we love outside our work. Works with stakeholders and end users to gather, understand, and define business requirements.Ensures the delivery of high-quality software that meets the needs of stakeholders and end-users within established budgets and schedules as outlined in project specification documentation.Develop epics, user stories and to-be process flow to support the design and development of applications solutions for our clients.Collaborate with developers to test and verify that solutions will meet the business requirements.As needed, complete the configuration for user stories within the applications.Participate in key meetings with clients including requirement sessions, system demos, user acceptance testing, and end user training.Establishes positive, professional relationship within ITS and business units. Establishes proper communication channels with WVU personnel through regularly scheduled verbal and written communication. Responds appropriately to all concerns.Works with users through direct coordination, business process descriptions and task analysis to evaluate current use, satisfaction, and areas of improvement for deployed applications. Critically evaluates information to obtain a general understanding and distinguish user desires from underlying true needs to align with technical vision and functionality/usability/performance tradeoffs.Follows established methodology, creates realistic and attainable project work plans. Works in conjunction with Operations and Project Managers to identify and mitigate concerns, conflicts, and risks.Helps manage all assigned resources to accomplish defined deliverables and objectives. Conducts and participates in regular team meetings to promote functional objectives and application adoption. Understands and adheres to established project management policies and procedures, including meeting project work plans, status reports, and documentation.Recognizes possible solutions to business problems and selects the most appropriate solution.Works with functional groups to positively challenge current business practices to ensure the best alternative.Helps manage the project goals and functional criteria including WVU adoption of new procedures and systems.Communicates information clearly, accurately and timely to internal and external team members.Manages multiple initiatives and projects.Takes the initiative to learn the changing technology landscape and their business requirements. Works with functional groups to evaluate how to continue to wed the two.Maintains high overall functional, technical and IT satisfaction scores (e.g., customer satisfaction) in all aspects of departmental and process responsibilities.Works with the Director to establish priority of issues.Manages documentation standards for their mission-critical applications.Measures the adoption of deployed processes/applications by defining measurable business objectives and metrics.During the System/User Acceptance testing of new projects that affect their respective functional departments, supports and manages user testing requirements and activities to ensure that system meets users' requirements and that users accept the system. User involvement with this stage is critical.During the Production Transition and Implementation phases of new projects, ensures that the administrator and user training requirements are met. Using defined requirements from the implementation development phase, supports training programs that train all users on the system.As new systems are brought into operation (Production), manages the transition from development to production. Activities include coordinating deployment of required configurations, identifying and rectifying technical issues, answering questions, and planning application maintenance.Manages Issue resolution. Works with ITS and user community to resolve critical system issues with minimal business interruption. Supports managers, users, and support personnel.Works with functional department managers to identify and address productivity and quality problems.Supports my client's confidentiality and security policies and ensures team and application compliance to those standards.Participates in organizational change management planning once Executive Committee defines initiatives and goals.Understands and works toward the attainment of their strategic and operational goals. Initiates solutions to perceived gaps and weaknesses in organizational processes or procedures.Fosters an environment of teamwork among technical and functional communities.Monitors functional adoption and project deliverables. Provides feedback to the project team to ensure deliverables are met.Manages statistical information and business justification to support initiative planning. Prepares materials for presentation at meetings and compiles special reports as requested by management.Participates in local/regional/national professional groups and organizationsQualificationsBachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. A degree in Computer science, computer engineering or Management Information Systems or related is preferredA minimum of six (6) years involving:Information technology experience with supporting SalesforceEnterprise level business process reengineering, implementation, and analysis experience. Broad Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle and agile/scrum development process.Software Application testing experienceAbility to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical experts and non-technical users and management.Strong oral & written communication, customer relationship and interpersonal skills to collaborate within the community.Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving, process analysis, ability to self-direct and prioritize tasks.Strong analytical skills to be able to research, analyze, detect and technically correct developed processes.Customer focused, team oriented, ability to adapt and respond to change, adhering to principles and values.Creative and Innovative, results driven.Excellent time management and organizational skills.Comfortable in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.Ability to overcome internal resistance to change processes. Ability to communicate changes to affected team members and educate them on the training process and tools enabling the changes.Ability to drive discussions with multiple subject matter experts to draw out their knowledge and bring them to a consensus.Understanding of IT processes and system flow.
