As a Scrum Master Chapter Lead, you will provide leadership and mentoring to help define the strategy and approach to Agile practices and methodologies across all teams to generate increased business value. Are you someone who is seen as an agile expert? Do you love to coach and mentor others? Then come join our Retail Advice technology team as a Scrum Master Chapter Lead. This is player/coach scrum master role that entails the following:

• Scrum Master - This person will have the responsibilities of a senior scrum master for a development team.• Player-Coach Role - the Scrum Master Chapter Lead role will not only be a scrum master on team but also have people leadership/management responsibilities for a team of 4-6 scrum masters.• Coaching and Building Agile expertise - The Scrum Master Chapter Lead should be considered to have advanced agile knowledge and proven coaching skills. They will be responsible for building Agile expertise and increasing efficiencies within their organization.• Taking a leadership role in Agile ceremonies within product family (grouping of agile teams) - The Scrum Master Chapter Lead will lead ceremonies such as quarterly Product Increment planning, Scrum of Scrums, and Product Sprint Reviews.

CSM or PSM are needed for this role but can be obtained in job.

Requirements

Core Responsibilities

  • Hires, evaluates, and supervises crew. Provides guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, and makes informed compensation decisions in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Leads, builds, and coaches high performing teams in the delivery of technology-related products or projects, ensuring team actions are aligned with project and business goals. Instruct and coach other professionals.
  • Leads planning, team learning, and adaptation of processes to ensure the quality of team solutions.
  • Enables a continuous learning environment, identifying ways to strengthen the team's understanding of Agile/Scrum concepts and principles as they relate to technical capabilities.
  • Builds and applies methodology that supports the integration of changing customer inputs and business conditions into technology-related product development.
  • Recommends to the product owner and management in the definition and prioritization of technology-related outcomes. Identifies trade-offs between short and long term benefits to drive shared vision between the team and product owner.
  • Ensures the application of agile frameworks to the development process to increase effectiveness of technology-related product development or architecture.
  • Removes roadblocks to technology-related product development or architecture. Applies learnings to other development projects.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required. Computer Science or Engineering experience preferred. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years of leading large cross-functional teams on major organizational technology projects preferred. Financial Services and technical experience preferred.
  • Scrum Master Certification strongly preferred.
