Job Description: Summary - Security Analyst - Remote - 6 month contract - $30-$60/hr - W2 Only, No C2C - 30/hours a week

Candidate must be able to work W2 without an Employer or Vendor

25% - incident detection and response:
  • Classify notable events by disposition (true positive, false positive, benign)
  • Escalate threats to the information security operations team
  • Summarize weekly threat reports
  • Make recommendations for tuning detection to eliminate "noise"
  • Document Playbooks for remediation
25% - Help identify and integrate additional data sources for log consumption (Splunk).

25% - Respond to information security tickets as required, mostly:
  • Email phishing (investigate and respond)
  • Compromised user accounts .
25% - Miscellaneous work such as:
  • Policy / Plan document reviews and updates
  • Assist with designing security awareness and training presentations
  • Conducting a phishing exercise for about 100 - 200 employees
  • Assisting with our Identity and Access Management project - as needed
  • Conducting a PCI compliance assessment
  • Assisting with remediating Audit findings.
  • Audit findings
Preferred Experience Skills:
  • Information Security Experience
  • System / Network Admin experience
  • Prior Splunk experience would be GREAT!
  • TeamDynamics experience would be GREAT
