Job Skills / RequirementsJob DescriptionPURPOSE: Sunstates Security is seeking an experienced physical security manager to act as the security site manager at a prestigious account in Sanford. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a physical security team in a high-profile environment.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Specific Duties and Essential FunctionsServe as the primary point of contact for physical security operations at the physical site. Oversee all Security officer on-site training and drills to maintain a high proficiency in physical security. Manage employee performance, identify deficiencies, and create action plans to maintain high operational readiness for all security officers.OperationalResponsible for all site security officers' direction, coordination, and supervision. Train subordinates on procedural guidelines, company policies, and operational & site-specific to better serve client needs.Experience in recruiting and hiring talented individuals. Provide event security management for onsite events. Scheduling, payroll, and maintaining officer quality assurance standards. Friendly, professional, and courteous. Provides quality customer service and cultivates working relationships. Good communicator (both verbal and written). Maintains and updates post orders, emergency response procedures, and applicable officer training content. Act as emergency response team leader. The Ideal Candidate Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications Must possess a high school diploma with one or more of the following: Minimum of 2-4 years of verifiable and successful experience in physical security management in a corporate setting. Comparable law enforcement or military background. Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements Type and Length of Specific Experience Required Physical security management experience. Proven track record for building relationships with key stakeholders. Experience with access control software and visitor management software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical. Must be reliable, adaptable, and able to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Self-motivated, forward-thinking, and detail-oriented are important qualities due to the high level of activity within the department. Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state. Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to work legally in the United States and submit to a pre-employment drug test Must undergo an extensive background check, including criminal history, employment references, and, if applicable, Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks.
