About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Automation Engineer who will work within an Agile Feature team in the Distributed Infrastructure organization. This position will utilize modern development frameworks and tooling to deliver a cloud-like experience for on-premise technology hosting; commonly referenced as Infrastructure-as-a-Service. Applicants should be familiar with Infrastructure-as-Code development using CI/CD pipelines to codify the delivery and management experience. Experience with infrastructure hosting technologies and tooling such as VMWare Aria Suite components (VRA, vROPS, vRLI and vRO), Nutanix components (Calm and Prism) is preferred. Applicants will also leverage scripting such as Python or PowerShell and more to automate loosely coupled services to facilitate the provisioning, deployment and management of infrastructure for the Wells Fargo private cloud environment. This position will also enable a number of critical Cyber-Resiliency initiatives such as Rebuild/Repave/Recovery.In this role, you will:

Adhere to and/or refine the Platform Architecture and develop/oversee the accomplishment of both functional and non-functional requirements for Compute and Storage products and services.

Partner with, engage and influence architects and experienced engineers to incorporate modern strategies, while understanding next generation domain architecture to drive towards target architecture.

Participate in the creation and implementation of a technology framework for DevOps and CI/CD and providing strong technical expertise to application development teams, operations & site reliability teams, and senior technology management.

Responsible for being a technical innovator and strategic thought leader for CI/CD pipeline technology and engineering discipline

Review and analyze solutions for security, secrets management and secure coding practices

Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices

Maintains knowledge in areas of SRE like Observability, Automation, Reliability, Resiliency, Scalability, Configuration Management & Actionable, Data Driven insights.

Act as a key transformation agent to help the team learn and develop DevOps capabilities and advance the team through a defined DevOps maturi

ty model

Develops standards and best practices and for engineering complex, large-scale technology solutions to address highly complex and typically cross-organizational issues, while maintaining broad knowledge of other technology engineering disciplines and partnering with other key experts.

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to drive design and code reviews focused on solution requirements.

Evaluate new products to get key outcomes where necessary, as well as re-evaluate new ways of using existing capabilities.

Required Qualifications, US:

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

3+ years of experience with scripting and development using languages such as Shell, Perl, Python or PowerShell

3+ years of formal development experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, GoLang

2+ years of experience with common infrastructure automation platforms such as Ansible, Terraform, or Packer

2+ years of experience with GitHub, Jenkins usage and integrations

2+ years of experience with complex application solution design and oversight and mentoring of teams of developers/engineers

2+ years of experience working across multiple technology domains whether infrastructure, application development, cloud, or middleware

Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to Distributed Infrastructure management, Data Protection, and Cyber Resiliency.

2+ years of experience with a Cloud Management Platform such as VMWare Aria suite (VRA, vROPS, vRLI and vRO) or Nutanix NCM (Calm, Prism or NDB)

Desired Qualifications:

2+ years of experience with infrastructure engineering and platform management for platforms such as RedHat, Windows, Converged, Hyper-Converged, Virtualization, Block, File, Object, or Data Protection

Experience with business process engineering, optimization, and orchestration

Experience with designing and enabling highly complex risk management capabilities such as rebuild/repave, data protection, and recovery
