Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Senior Buyer. This position can be based out of the following Eaton locations and offers a hybrid working schedule: Peachtree City, GA or Charlotte, NC or Moon Township, PA.The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.Our Connected Solutions division is a part of our growing Residential & Wiring Devices group within the Electrical Sector. We manufacture Smart Circuit Breakers, EV Chargers, Home Energy Management Systems, and Smart Load centers. It's purpose is to directly address the sector's "energy transition" which is the result of rising trend towards decarbonization, increased usage of renewables, electrification of vehicles and the need for more flexible grid capacity.What you’ll do:This position is responsible for purchasing activities for an assigned group of commodities and services to support Connected Solution product lines. They will work closely with suppliers and plant teams on production planning to meet objectives around inventory, delivery and product cost. As needed will analyzes trends, maintains systems and records, places and expedites orders as needed to meet customer and production needs. This role will play a key part in helping support new product launches and developing the overall supply chain for Connected Solution including efforts to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve resiliency, logistics, cost, inventory, quality and service.Additional Responsibilities:

Plans inventory levels and procurement of an assigned group of production materials.

Support new product introductions through purchasing of prototype materials and industrialization equipment.

Purchases assigned non-inventory items and services.

Negotiates with current and potential vendors on pricing, delivery, terms, stocking programs, etc.

Performs necessary follow-up and expediting activities. Assures a timely and effective flow of material into the plant, keeping down time to a minimum. Keeps plant inventories of parts at established levels.

Solicits and analyzes quotations for goods and services. Recommends the awarding of purchases and contracts based on information received. Assures quality parts at the lowest possible prices.

Adheres to all corporate EHS requirements and guidelines when making supplier decisions. Gathers information necessary to the decision-making process when considering suppliers, according to EHS requirements.

Conducts negotiations with vendors involving replacement of materials that do not conform to our specifications.

Conducts cost reduction activities for assigned commodities and assists other departments in their cost reduction activities.

Forecasts market trends of assigned commodities affecting material and service availability and costs.

Collaboration with divisional sourcing team on finding local manufacturing options for ramp up to plant operations.

Qualifications:Basic (required) Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

Two (2) years of experience in a Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations or Engineering related role

Previous experience using Microsoft Excel

Must be eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Must currently reside with a 50-mile radius of the posted working locations (Moon Township, PA or Charlotte, NC or Peachtree City, GA to be considered. Active-duty Military are exempt from this geographical limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain or business from an accredited institution

Previous ERP experience or understanding of Environmental Management Systems (MAPICS / Oracle)

Previous experience using Power BI
