The HT Group is working with a well-stablished, rapidly growing company who is looking for a talented Senior Data Scientist to help us attack a growing backlog of projects with strategic implications for the business. We are a rapidly growing eCommerce company and are looking for people who are interested in using their experience to help us serve our customers. We need a generalist who isn't intimidated by SQL, deploying production code, or presenting their work to executives.You will have the opportunity to work across the organization on a range of use cases, both operational and customer-facing, collaborating with key decision-makers in all areas of the business. Potential projects range from ranking and recommendation to revenue, transaction and product mix forecasting, management of profit margins and predicting customer lifetime value. The Role:
  • Provide insights for decision-making through the use of ML, statistical modeling, and descriptive analytics.
  • Train models and build data pipelines, working with engineering (or not!) productionalize and deploy your code.
  • Maintain and monitor deployed models/analytics, owning their performance long term
  • Perform regular reporting of some key metrics as a part of advanced business intelligence support to functional areas (e.g. through dashboards and automated reports)
  • Develop and perform preliminary exploratory analysis with data stored in Amazon Redshift, collected through REST APIs, and other unstructured data.

About you:
  • Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, etc) or equivalent professional or experience
  • 4+ years of experience in predictive modeling, data science, and analytics
  • Expertise in Python and SQL are a must
  • Experience with (and a lack of intimidation of) writing and speaking about technical concepts to mixed audiences (including executives) and giving data-rich presentations
  • Ecommerce, B2C industry experience preferred
