OverviewGovCIO is seeking a Technical Lead with experience in robotic process automation products to lead a dynamic team of innovators in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Platform Project.This position is fully remote.ResponsibilitiesCandidates must be highly organized, adaptable, and intellectually curious self-starters who have a passion for innovation and collaboration. The candidate will be responsible for successfully executing project tasks and for ensuring coordination and desired outcomes are accomplished. The environment is dynamic, and flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success.
Leads technical team assessing new requests, determining the necessary tasks, then organizing the team to successfully accomplish the work
Coordinates with government lead and provides updates on project(s) status
Innovates on new technology and approaches to address the RPA work
Provides technical support for RPA platform management and developers
Conducts full security package reviews on all patches, and minor and major releases
Provides input and support for the Data Warehouse for platform metrics and development teams’ custom metrics for automations
Metrics include – transaction time, run time, return on investment, hours run, uptime, exceptions, etc.
Develops and supports the CI/CD pipeline for automations in the review, release, and promotion lifecycle
Conducts Data Reliability Framework for RPA
Provides RPA status and metrics reporting that includes:
Monthly RPA automation metrics reporting
Weekly RPA automation status reporting
Data Product Line quarterly score cards
Provides input to RPA strategy and planning sessions to highlight completed program milestones and plans for upcoming fiscal year tasks
Manages utilization of, and license tracking for vendor platform
Facilitates customer through Authority to Deploy (ATD) process
Facilitates customer interaction with system integrator
Ensures required documentation (PDD, SDD, Runbook, Test Plan) are delivered by system integrator
Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Resource Management, Industrial Engineering, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Operations Research, or related fields
15+ years of experience
Or, Master’s Degree may be substituted for 2 years of required experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
Experience with robotic process automation
Experience working with UI Path
Experience managing Agile teams
Knowledge of architecture concepts
Experience taking requirements and requests and delivering robust solutions, products, and/or recommendations
Experience using Jira or similar tool to organize and manage team’s work
Experience with Salesforce, SharePoint, and Confluence
Product delivery experience within IT organizations
Strong analytical and investigative skills
Must be able to identify and mitigate program risks, and escalate risks as necessary
Must be a problem solver
Preferred Skills and Experience
Experience working within the VA Office of Information Technology
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience migrating from on-premise to SAAS
Experience working on remote Agile teams
Clearance Required:
Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability / Public Trust clearance
