Senior Flight Operations SpecialistCharlotte, NCHybrid 3:2As a Senior Flight Operations Specialist here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for overseeing and managing flight operations to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operations. You will play a crucial role in coordinating flight schedules, optimizing resources, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations. Your expertise in flight operations will contribute to the overall success of our aviation operations.You will report directly to our VP Flight Operations with matrix reporting to the Dispatch Manager and you'll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Process the flight department bills and manage the flight operations budget working in collaboration with finance

You will also be responsible for bookkeeping, using Excel to track bills paid and budgeting

Handle miscellaneous administrative tasks within the flight department and assist the VP - Flight Operations with meetings and scheduling

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Providing trip scheduling, continual flight following, and accurate passenger and crew manifests

Scheduling travel for company passengers on all modes of transportation, including the company aircraft

Scheduling ground transportation and accommodations for crew members and passengers

Scheduling company aircraft for flights and maintenance

Entering flight times and keeping department flight records

Retaining passenger manifests and logs for all flights

Maintaining current information on the location of Honeywell Flight Operations aircraft

Providing flight crews with Flight Plan and weather information

Arranging aircraft fueling for trips and negotiating discounts with fuel providers

Obtaining necessary landing/overflight permits, slots, and/or visas for passengers and crew members when flying into and out of foreign countries

Selecting and arranging Fixed Base Operators (FBOs)Assisting the Dispatch Manager with any delegated duties

Having experience in aircraft scheduling and handling aircraft crew member needs

Having two (2) or more years of experience in flight planning and working with domestic and international flights

Providing administrative support to the Flight Operations Department

Receiving and processing mail and shipping

Assisting the Vice President, Flight Operations with any delegated duties

Demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills
