Automation Engineer Job Description:
  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies.
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments.
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications:
  • 4 plus years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 5 plus years of experience end to end automation of full stack application(ReactJS, HTML5 and/or Java with selenium.
  • Hands on experience in functional, distributed application programming.
  • Experience in Cloud Platform(s) and Microservices
  • Strong Core Java 11+/Java hands-on skills.
  • Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test- driven development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge of Web Services, REST API, and Java Script.

Additional Skills:
  • Experience with designing, planning and execution of system testing strategies and tactics to ensure software quality at all stages of the system life cycle
  • Scripting tools and languages including Java for automation and familiarity with Spring frameworks
  • Knowledge of testing tools including: Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, Jenkins, Jira, ALM and Zephr
  • Ability to automate the test of end to end system flow as well as API.
  • Financial Industry expertise desirable
  • Software quality assurance
  • Adept with agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles
  • Automation mindset with thorough understanding of automation of tests as part of CI-CD pipeline.

Pay Range: $45 - $55 The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
