As Software Development manager, you will be encouraged to establish a collaborative partnership with key stakeholders and directly leading Foodbuy IT Scrum Teams consisting of developers and quality analysts. In this role you will partner with Scrum Master and Product Owner to hold the team accountable to consistent Agile best practices. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and outstanding analytical and research skills, as well as a passion for leading and growing others. In addition to being a well-trained professional, the successful candidate will be a strategic problem solver with the ability to inspire confidence from, and to collaborate closely with technology leaders and internal stakeholders.Job Responsibilities- Coach and mentor a team of developers and quality analysts ensuring they are modeling the best practices and producing high quality results
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Foodbuy Product and Compass IT Shared Services teams.
- Collaborate with Scrum Master to resolve and escalate impediments, manage risks, assure value delivery and drive program level continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Product Owner and Scrum Master in supervising overall application, project delivery as well as timely application support.
- Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
- Collaborate with Peers and Architecture team to innovate, educate and empower the Scrum Teams
- Hire new team members to round out and build up overall team capacity and skillset
- Proven experience managing direct reports or leading developers and/or quality analysts
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in IT full development life cycle.
- Agile practitioner mentality with an understanding of common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and iterative development practices.
- Demonstrated track record of successful ability to lead large and sophisticated software implementations
- Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and openness to help with a wide variety of work products and people.
- Ability to easily build new relationships and proactively establish contacts across the organization.
- Proven track record to balance concurrent activities.
- Experience as a Scrum Master
- Previous exposure working in a SAFe agile or Scrum At Scale environment
- Team Foundation Server or Azure DevOps
- DevOps and DevSecOps practice
- Experience with E-Commerce and customer facing platforms
- Experience with Enterprise Content management and Integration bus
