Sr. Java Developer
Position Description CGI is looking for a self-motivated developer to join an established team supporting a core system for a large financial client in Cary, NC. We are looking for a Hands-on Developer with (7-10 years) of experience in Enterprise level application development using Java8/J2EE, REST API, Sprint Boot, Cloud (Google Cloud) experience preferred. The system has a high visibility within the organization, and is used by many prominent stakeholders. This role offers flexibility of joining a team utilizing Agile methodologies to deliver high quality software to our customers. You will also have the opportunity to work with cloud based technologies on highly visible initiatives to the highest level within the Organization.FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLEYour future duties and responsibilities• Gather requirements from Business Analysts and document technical approaches.• Develop new Enhancements, bug fixing, debugging and resolving performance issues.• Create High level & Low level design for the team to start development.• Apply SDLC concepts for designing, coding, testing and implementing.• Develop front end i.e. user interface functionalities.• Develop components in Java & Spring.• Integrate front end modules with Rest API.• Cloud(Google Cloud) migration experience is a plus• Unit testing and snapshot testing of components.• Interact with offshore development team for continuous design suggestions, development, and status updates.• Mentor developers on design & development.• Code review of the team members & suggest best coding/design practices.• Provide guidance to support teams on debugging application issues.• Build and Deployment of application on all environments.• Provide support to QA, UAT & PROD users.• Provide multiple and ongoing demo to UAT users & Support teams.Required qualifications to be successful in this role• Java• Spring Boot• Microservices• Rest API• Google Cloud experience is a plus• Mockito Test Framework• Tools - IntelliJ, Tomcat 8.0, WebLogic 10.3, Maven, Oracle, & GitSkill Set Matrix: 7+years of Java5 years of Spring4 years of Spring Boot4 years of REST APIDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREDSkill Set 3+ years of Microservices1+ years of Google Cloud (some exposure or understanding is a plus)Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field.#LI-BK1#DICE#DOUBLEEASTInsights you can act onWhile technology is at the heart of our clients' digital transformation, we understand that people are at the heart of business success.
