Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Staff Accountant will be primarily responsible for overseeing our accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. You will also be tasked with preparing journal entries and participating in the month-end close process. Knowledge of General Ledger accounting and Microsoft Excel is essential for this role.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the accounts payable (AP) Handle accounts receivable (AR) duties, including invoicing, cash application, and collections Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy Maintain and update the general ledger system for financial transactions, ensuring all entries are accurate Prepare and record journal entries for the general ledger Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reports Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.Requirements Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar accounting position Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is essential Knowledge of General Ledger operations is necessary Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries is required Experience in Month End Close procedures is essential Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are necessary for data management and analysis Must have strong ethical standards and integrity in all business dealings Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required Must possess the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
