Description We are offering a contract for a permanent employment opportunity in Wilmington, North Carolina, for a Staff Accountant. This role is within the construction industry and will involve overseeing financial procedures, maintaining financial records, and conducting extensive financial analysis. Responsibilities: Oversee all financial transactions and consolidations related to construction projects Utilize accounting software to automate processes, maintain records, generate reports, and ensure overall accuracy Collaborate with project management teams to analyze job costs and profitability Prepare and maintain budgets, financial reports, tax returns, and other financial documentation Develop financial strategies and provide proficient recommendations to senior management Monitor account reconciliations, expense classifications, payroll, subcontractor payments, and other financial transactions Remain up-to-date on industry legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance with construction financial rules and guidelines Act as a liaison with external auditors and manage internal controls Conduct high-level financial analysis and take charge of our financial processes Ensure compliance with regulations, accurate record-keeping. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Demonstrated experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations with precision and efficiency Comprehensive understanding of General Ledger management Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries Demonstrated skills in Month End Close procedures Familiarity with NetSuite accounting software Proficiency in Oracle financial management systems Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks Knowledge of SAP financial software systems High level of precision and accuracy in all tasks Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex accounting issues Commitment to ongoing learning and growth in the field of accounting.
