The State Pre-K Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing based on the needs of each child, and the requirements of the program. We want change makers who never stop being curious, inventive, and open-hearted to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond.As a Lead Pre-K Teacher, you’ll:

Create! Develop fun, interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow Teachers.

Care! Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the preschool children in your class.

Call the shots! Take the lead on classroom management and curriculum implementation, plus be an expert on all licensing guidelines, company standards and Pre-K program requirements.

Communicate! Build sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote achievement for the child and to support your center’s success.

We want energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18 and have: 

Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies or related degree

Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans

The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.

The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Shall hold or be working toward a North Carolina Birth through Kindergarten (B-K) Continuing License or B-K or Pre-K/Add-on License issued by the NC Dept of Public Instruction. Teachers working toward the required education and license shall meet one of the following requirements:

A NC BK Initial License

A NC Lateral Entry BK License

A NC Residency BK License

A NC Emergency BK License as determined by the Early Educator Support, Licensure and Professional Development (EESLPD) Unit;

Another NC Educator’s License and a Provisional BK or Pre-K/K license;

A BA/BS degree and be eligible for a NC Residency BK License
