Job Description

Your new opportunity at Nine.

Working closely with the Chief Digital Officer and the Digital Executive team, you’ll support the Head of Digital Strategy in the development, management and execution of Nine’s digital and corporate strategy.

This is a critical role in the Digital team and Nine more broadly as the business continues to strengthen its focus on digital products, revenue streams and opportunities across all media types.

Day to day you will:

  • Lead analysis of financial, operating and industry metrics to drive insights into our business and external operating environment
  • Lead the documentation and communication of Nine’s strategy and decision-making including papers for engagement with CEO and board
  • Input into the development of Nine’s corporate and business unit strategy; including setting of targets and tracking of performance
  • Support and leading where appropriate transactions such as joint ventures, commercial partnerships, sports rights and M&A
  • Provide support and insight to business owners in development of operating plans, strategic plans and other ad hoc analysis

In order to be successful for this role, you will ideally have:

  • Strong analytical skills and be highly numerate,confident in drawing the ‘so what’ from data
  • Very strong financial modelling skills, including full company valuation models
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal; including consulting level Powerpoint
  • Comfortableoperating with ambiguity and in fluid environments
  • The ability to work independently, proactively and manage own time
  • The ability to influence and build relationships with different types of people
  • A passionabout strategy development and its ability to drive high-value outcomes

Nice to have, but not essential:

  • Five to eight years working in top tier management consulting and/or corporate strategy
  • Hands on transactionalexperience; either as an advisor or corporate
  • While specific media experience is not mandatory, it is desirable and a passion for consumer-oriented businesses and how they ‘work’ is essential
