Maxim Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Substance Abuse Outreach Technician to perform procedures compatible with the medical facility’s operating capacity and equipment. New medical procedures/services shall not be introduced without prior recommendation to, and approval of, the MTF Commander or authorized representative. This position shall provide substance abuse outreach, education and prevention to Air Force Members.Responsibilities:Implements alcohol and drug abuse outreach education, and prevention for active duty personnel, to include the educational intervention program

Serves as a consultant to Center Climate Assessment Committee.

Plans, organizes, and conducts substance abuse orientation, awareness, education, and prevention programs.

Organizes and coordinates with other agencies promoting substance abuse awareness.

Serves as a consultant to Integrated Delivery System (IDS) and CAIB.

Performs with minimal supervision and is productive.

Ensure a safe work environment and employees safe work habits.

Contractor healthcare providers shall provide patients with the utmost care and attention. All patients shall be assured of their privacy and personal dignity.

Contractor personnel shall maintain open and professional communication with members of the MTF staff. Complaints validated by the Chief of Service shall be reported in writing to the contract administrator and the Contractor for action.

Failure of the Contractor to correct validated complaints rose, by the MTF Staff and the CO will be considered a failure to perform.

Contractor personnel shall prepare all documentation to meet or exceed established standards of the MTF, to include, but not limited to, timeliness, accuracy, content and signature. Only MTF and Air-Force approved abbreviations shall be used for documentation of the patient health record.

Minimum Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required.

AA or AAS is desirable but not mandatory.

Full command, understanding both verbal and written English.

Knowledge of alcohol and drug abuse with one + years experience.

Ability to integrate Air Force policy into substance abuse outreach, education, and prevention programs.

Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conducts research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.

Effective communication orally and in writing.

Ability to use a personal computer to include word processing, spreadsheets, graphics and databases.

Ability to interact with Air Force personnel using a high degree of tact and diplomacy, and to maintain good working relationships.

Contractor shall present a professional, conservative and neat appearance. Report for duty in a professional manner, in appropriate attire befitting a healthcare setting, and having complied with socially acceptable standards of personal hygiene expected of healthcare workers.

While on duty, Contractor shall be neat and clean (free from visible dirt and stains), well groomed and appropriately dressed. The Contractor’s clothing shall fit correctly to provide a professional, modest appearance, in keeping with normally accepted community standards of dress for the work being performed.

Facial hair (including beards, mustaches, and sideburns) shall be controlled (restrained) or trimmed. It shall not interfere with safe work practices, look unkempt, or be unclean.

Successful completion of testing process.
