RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in Charlotte, NC that is seeking a Support Engineer that manages the entire monitoring life cycle.

Summary:This position will involve research, evaluation, design, implementation, and maintaining monitoring. This would consist of monitoring of network, host, and application-level components. Furthermore, the Support Engineer will also provide technical direction and monitoring engineering support for projects and infrastructure. The Support Engineer will be providing monitoring support related to Call Center Technologies, Billing Systems and Mobile Systems, and will be analyzing systems for ongoing performance improvements at user and system levels.

REQUIREMENTS: 2+ years of experience with monitoring tool applications such as Data Dog, App Dynamics, Elastic Stack (8.x), Grafana, PRTG, Splunk 2+ years of experience with applied capacity planning, modeling, and analytics of network performance data 2+ years of experience with performance analysis, operation support and tuning experience for monitoring applications Experience with network automation, visualization, and diagramming applications TCP and other network protocols (BGP routing and other routing protocols) knowledge Scripting knowledge such as JavaScript, Go, PowerShell, Linux/Unix shell scripting, Python Advanced SQL knowledge Experience with monitoring needs for on-prem/cloud network infrastructure Experience in integration of applications and application data Ability to deal with ambiguity, uncertainty, and incomplete information when evaluating alternatives and making recommendations Ability to handle and perform in stressful situations Ability to identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
