job summary:
Job Description- Client is seeking a qualified audio/visual engineer with experience designing, installing, and maintaining audio/visual systems. The candidate will guide the design of A/V technology solutions including architecting and implementing solutions requiring integration of multiple platforms across the enterprise. The ideal candidate would also have experience managing Poly video conferencing infrastructure, with Zoom Rooms and new room design and be familiar with basic infrastructure concepts such as printing and print services.
- 3+ years of experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information System, or other relevant field of study preferred
- Basic understanding of enterprise platforms and operating systems
- Proficiency in all the infrastructure layers, hardware, OS, virtualization, storage, network, database and security
- Good service orientated, collaborative attitude with both peers and internal customers
- Knowledge of standards in IT architecture and infrastructure
- Good problem-solving capabilities
- Basic understanding of data security requirements, policies and auditing processes
- Constant process improvement thinking to reduce delivery time and increase customer satisfaction
- Administration of Web conferencing tools, such as Zoom, WebEx, BlueJeans and RingCentral Administration of Video conferencing systems, such as Poly and Cisco
- Design and implementation of conference room systems
- Troubleshooting of Audio and Video systems
- Experience with Audio and Video over IP, such as Atlona and Crestron
- Experience with other related Audio Video systems, such as Biamp, Crestron, Shure, Dante, smartboards, etc.
- Experience with running in-person and virtual events, such as all-hands meetings, conferences, and charity events.
- Configure, implement, and tune A/V solutions to meet business and technical requirements on designated projects
- Participate in system testing activities related to infrastructure solutions
- Create technical documentation to ensure effective operations/support of the infrastructure solution
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies for video conferencing systems
- Monitor technology availability and reliability and when necessary will assist with leading cross-domain operational/engineering teams and LOB application teams to triage high priority or performance degrading incidents
- Assist with operations and production coverage
- Support/Perform change requests as required for hardware upgrades, additions, configuration changes, etc. with proactive co-ordination with vendors and Client stakeholders
- Comply with Change Management, Release Management, IT Risk - Compliance processes and standards
- Own design and implementation of future managed print services, including secure print with virtualized print queues.
