The Client is seeking an Expert Level Systems Specialist to develop automated testing suite to support the agile sprints for testing the PayIT application.

The candidate must reside in the United States. Candidates must be in agreement and understand that work with our DOT organization is here in the state of North Carolina and our preference is that the candidate relocate to the state. At any time during this engagement, the candidate may be required to come onsite based on management directives. DOT WILL NOT ship their equipment, so the candidate must come onsite during onboarding to pick up the state issued computer and to complete the remaining onboarding tasks. Remote work for contractors is at the discretion of management and will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. The PayIT Test Automation Lead is to develop automated testing suite to support the agile sprints for testing the PayIT application. Specifically, the automation specialist will lead the test strategy, design, and execute the automated test cases with a focus on regression testing. With each new agile sprint, the automated test cases would be executed to perform regression testing for that sprint and repeated for each additional sprint intended to speed up the regression testing process using the UFT (Unified Functional Testing) toolset. Key Responsibilities
  • Test Automation Lead will have support the test automation solution and support the implementation of test strategy, test plans & test execution of the product.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, training and mentoring to implement test automation across the project teams
  • Supports automation script development and the optimization of those scripts.
  • Develop and continuously improve automated tests as new system features and enhancements are developed
  • Execute automated tests and manage the resulting defect log through the point of defect fix validation
  • Identify and report to product teams questionable functions, performance concerns, and inconsistencies
  • Collaborate with product teams to strategize & align long term solution for test automation including roadmap, tools, framework & approach.
  • Assist in the identification, selection, and implementation of tools, technologies, and practices that support the overall QA process
  • Create a standard framework for Functional Automation, Performance Testing and Security and Penetration Testing. Presents technical documentation for review by peers and Development community.
  • Work with DIT QA team for resolution of technical issues of the product as needed.
  • Assist with the automation strategy to support regression testing based on the technical analysis, complexity, and reusability
  • Responds appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures.
  • Will provide knowledge transfer to the members of the Enterprise Test team.
  • Will assist the Enterprise Test team members in the area of training and development.

Required Skills
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing several test automation solutions leveraging Unified Functional Testing (UFT) and LoadRunner Required 10 Years
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing several test automation solutions leveraging SOAPUI Required 10 Years
  • Demonstrated experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Octane Required 10 Years
  • Demonstrated experience in web, mobile, API and database testing technologies Required 10 Years
  • UI and/or API level test automation expertise Required 10 Years
  • Thorough understanding and hands on experience in developing, enhancing automation testing frameworks Required 10 Years
  • Experience using the Scrum Framework and testing in Sprints Required 10 Years
  • Understanding of primary models of test automation frameworks, (i.e. data driven, keyword driven, hybrid, and behavior driven) Required 10 Years
