Utilities Process Engineer will support new projects, equipment, and utilities throughout an API facility. The ideal candidate will have mechanical troubleshooting abilities in a production environment. This will be a

Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 4:30 PM position in the

Raleigh, NC area.

Responsibilities of the Utilities Process Engineer :
  • Utilize process and instrumentation diagrams to detect issues in the facility (pumps, valves, tanks, distillation columns)
  • Own change control requests and address deviations
  • Identify and implement process improvement measures on existing equipment throughout the facility
  • Complete validation protocols on equipment and maintain safety while handling raw materials and chemicals such as phosphoric acid, nitric acid, sodium hydroxide, citric acid, ethanol, etc.
  • Provide routine support and troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Maintain compliance with GMP regulations

Qualifications of the Utilities Process Engineer:
  • B.S./M.S. in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field of study
  • 1-5 years of experience in an engineering production environment or related field
  • Experience in troubleshooting mechanical issues in equipment such as pumps, valves, tanks, distillation columns, etc.
  • Experience with regulated environment's that have abided by FDA, OSHA, or EPA rules

Compensation of the Utilities Process Engineer:
  • $40-$60/hr., depending on relevant industry experience
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k
