Vice President of Engineering

This company based in Chicago is responsible for one of the top-rated international money transfer apps. They are known for creating an app that makes it easy to send money to bank accounts and debit cards in 40 countries around the globe. Everything is in .Net Core and React on the front end with AWS. You will report to the SVP of Engineering and be responsible for overseeing all software development efforts at the company. As VP of software engineering you will mentor a diverse group of software developers to effectively execute product roadmaps and produce quality code. You will oversee everything from task planning and code review to long-term career planning. A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. ? 12+ years of experience in software development. ? 6+ years of experience managing engineers. ? Strong technical skills across a broad range of full-stack development, REST APIs, and data architectures. ? Experience with agile/scrum methodologies and planning tools such as JIRA. ? The ability to learn quickly and work well with others. ? A desire for excellence and strong attention to detail. Other Skills ? Experience working in the fintech or payments industry. ?
