The Lab Engineer will be responsible to support activities related to the deployment of its Unigy platform in customerengineering lab. These activities include creating, developing, and executing test plans to validate integration of Unigyplatform in customer’s technical environment, including integration with voice recording, IP telephony, and CTIapplications. The position will be based in Charlotte, North Carolina and report to the Global Services Manager for theManaged Services engagement. This role is in a fast-paced work environment – meeting client expectations. Should bea fast learner with ability to self-teach and read through product documentation. Role and Responsibilities1. Develop and execute test plans. Optimize integration test plans leveraging other product specific test plans.2. Automate through scripting solutions.3. Support ancillary test plans for validation of monitoring, capacity planning, systems availability monitoring,security support tools and utilities.4. Write technical documentation and low level designs to capture as-built configuration of infrastructure.5. Collaborate with infrastructure support teams.6. Evaluates future technologies and makes recommendations for hardware and software upgrades.7. Partner with cross-functional teams in the Managed Services engagement, including Customer Engineer,Technical Support, Service Management, and Sales to ensure seamless high-touch, superior support customer.8. Review issue resolution with teams to foster improved internal communication and understanding of faultidentification and troubleshooting techniques.9. Provide implementation and testing support for technologies and products including but not limited to, Unigy Trading Voice Communications Systems, CTI Applications, Oracle ASC, NICE Voice Recording, MotorolaWAVE 5000s, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Voice Gateways, routers and switches and any additional productsincluded in the trader voice network environment.10. Provide support for technical investigation of incidents and problems.11. Review key operational processes and procedures to ensure ITIL best practices are adhered to, implementchanges as required.12. Communicate events to stakeholders, including Global Service Director.13. Provides technical guidance and mentoring to other lab engineers on subject matter expertise.14. Ensure appropriate level of customer communication. Participate in book of work planning meetings.15. Manage risks associated with scheduling challenges.16. Listen and anticipates customer’s questions and reactCandidacy Requirements1. Engineering degree or equivalent is required with experience writing and executing test plans.2. Ability to be self-sufficient and work independently or in a team environment.3. Excellent organizational skills, strong written-verbal technical communication is a must.4. Must demonstrate interpersonal skills necessary to work within a team environment andcommunicate effectively across a variety of geographically dispersed resources.5. Experience with IT Infrastructure technologies, VoIP Telephony technologies – TDM, SIP,H.323, MGoogle Cloud Platform, SCCP, RTP/RTCP, Codec and VoIP Troubleshooting. Deep technicalunderstanding of IPCs Unigy System 3.1.x.x voice products and services.6. Working knowledge of Linux/Unix command line interface(CLI)7. Experience with scripting RESTful APIs, technical skills with Unigy Bluewave is a plus8. Experience with test automation platforms, such as Selenium or Tosca9. Methodical troubleshooting skills. Triage of lab and production issues and collaboration withcustomer’s teamGlobal Services – Job Description 10. Very Good working experience with SIP VoIP Protocol including deployment andtroubleshooting, good to have certification that covers VOIP path end to end, through PSTNand IP PBXs, via SBCs and Proxies.11. Ability to capture and analyze Wireshark traces – data and VoIP packets12. High energy, motivated engineer with proven experience in process improvements andautomation.13. Demonstrable commitment to quality and customer service14. Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.15. Experience with building and or managing VM’s (ESXi)16. Experience with IP Networking technologies – TCP/IP, IP Services, QoS.
