Description Robert Half Marketing & Creative is looking for a WordPress Developer for one of our clients in Charlotte, NCWe are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to design, develop, and maintain websites using WordPress. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of front-end and back-end development, including themes, plugins, and custom functionality. You will collaborate with designers, content creators, and stakeholders to ensure an engaging and seamless user experience.Key Responsibilities:

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.

Optimize website performance, security, and SEO best practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, and compatibility problems.

Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement responsive and visually appealing designs.

Ensure cross-browser and mobile compatibility for all web applications.

Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and payment gateways as needed.

Maintain website updates, backups, and security patches.

Work closely with marketing and content teams to implement website enhancements and campaigns.

Stay up to date with the latest WordPress trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of WordPress websites.

Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.

Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development/customization.

Knowledge of page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.

Familiarity with SEO principles, website optimization, and Core Web Vitals.

Understanding of website security best practices and performance optimization.

Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
