Job Description:·         Successfully troubleshoot and makes minor repairs and adjustments to fixtures, stations, vibratory bowls and in lines, set-up processes, etc., as needed.·         Ability to work with assorted hand tools to make repairs or install fixtures, pneumatic cylinders, grippers as needed and adjust as needed. Must be able to supply own hand tools at associate’s expense.·         Performs routine scheduled preventive maintenance, housekeeping and other duties as assigned. Record on PM documents at workstations.·         Set or reset sensors, through beams or proximity switches·         Interface with touch screens to record, input, reset or retrieve pertinent productivity data.·         Accountable for quality of work using appropriate quality tools and routine sampling plans. Must be able to visually check quality of work.·         Ability to consistently lift to 45lbs to load feeder or vibratory bowls with parts at waist level and or above head·         Assist in writing or creating work instructions·         Assist in writing training and documentation of training for automatics as needed·         Ability to change out grease barrels with assistance.·         Accountable for quantity of work at standard rates as scheduled by production control to satisfy customer demands.·         Operate automatics with great sense of urgency to make repairs to meet production & quality requirements.·         Responsible for a neat and orderly work area per 5S department standards.·         Record production data and downtime comments on check sheets.·         Flexible and willing to operate various assembly machines as assigned- (Bodine, Brazer, 1H Duralast, 2H Duralast, & Posi-Temp).·         Actively participate in continuous improvement teams in the cartridge area.·         May be required to relieve other operators.·         Be willing to train other operators or trainees as needed.·         Assist in development and implementation of processes for continuous improvement.·         Work with coaches and other associates to implement, set-up, and maintain 5S procedures in the area.·         May be required to work in other departments and in other job classifications.         ·         Responsible to adhere to safety practices and identify and report any unsafe conditions in the plant.·         Other miscellaneous duties assigned.
