Entry-Level Water/Wastewater Engineer

AECOM is hiring for an Entry-Level Civil Engineer in our North Charleston, SC office. This position is expected to start immediately. Under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer, responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Pump station evaluation and design.Water distribution system hydraulic modeling, analysis, and design.Sewer collection system evaluation and designAssist with plans, specifications, and permittingPerform civil engineering modeling, design, and drafting work for engineers and project managersAssist with preparing/reviewing cost estimates, job budgets and schedulesSupport preparation of final plans, reports, and calculationsCoordinate work with other engineers and multi-discipline professionalsDocument project information, author reports and other necessary correspondence for the project filesTroubleshoots project related problems and provides engineering supportAssist with resolution of construction issues and conducting site observations    Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institutionProficient with MS Office Suite – specifically Excel, Word and PowerPointBasic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD)Must be able to conduct field work, tolerate variable environmental conditions, walk on uneven surfaces, and lift and carry at least 50 pounds.Must be able to travel on business periodically for periods of up to 2-3 daysMust have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive rental vehicles on behalf of the companyMust be able to work collaboratively in teams and independently when necessaryMust have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)Minimum 6 months technical work experience in civil engineering or related field (e.g. summer internships, Co-Op).
